New Year's Eve

Christa and I spent the evening playing with Legos. This is a working dump truck. The bed raises and lowers via a battery-powered motor. And most of the construction was the unseen gears in the guts of the truck.
You can also steer the front wheels with a gear sitting on top of the cab.
This is a ferry boat, one of my Christmas gifts to Christa. It's complete with an SUV with trailer in tow.
The front opens and a bridge drops so the vehicles can exit.
When I was growing up playing with Legos, the coolest feature was a draw bridge on a castle. It was wound manually with flimsy string and didn't last a week.
