The other day, I felt like one of my players was trying to hit everything to left field, and was therefore not hitting as well as he was capable. This happened on the first pitch he saw after I told him I'd give him 50 bucks if he hit a home run to center or right field...
So...we got the run AND I saved money (he hit it to left, if you can't tell)...the perfect coach. He told me he was trying to go to center, but the slow curve ball had him ever so slightly out front. If he had been swinging like he had been, he would've hit it foul or missed it altogether.
That's why they pay me the big bucks.
